Increase intentional recruiting of students with underrepresented identities by engaging with connections and events targeting those communities, as well as leveraging intentional marketing materials. Graduate Studies hosted a visit from the UConn McNair scholars and is looking to build more partnerships with organizations serving underrepresented students. Graduate Studies also secured a full-page ad in the "Diversity in Action" and is working to build that partnership.

The Graduate Studies Recruiting team now regularly hosts financial aid information sessions, in recognition that this may be a barrier for first generation students.

Update online application, recruiting, and student success systems to make sure that diverse identities are represented. The gender identity field on the application has now been updated with 18 different options to provide space for a wider swath of identities. The CRM supporting recruiting and student success now pulls in gender identity, pronouns, and preferred names from Workday.
