DEI partnerships with community organizations

PreK-16 STEM outreach and educational efforts are intentionally designed and implemented with partners that serve low-income and historically underrepresented groups.

Implementation Strategies and Actions

• Robotics Resource Center (RRC) intentionally forms partnerships with schools/programs/groups that serve historically underrepresented students in STEM to: offer technical training workshops to FRC teams, start 2 Savage Soccer teams w mentors, do robot demos.

  • K-16 students from low-income or underrepresented groups gain access to robotics and technical support to gain skills, as wells as being informed of other WPI opportunities
• Teacher Preparation Program (TPP) pre-practicum experiences are done in the local community and with organizations that work with underserved communities
