- DEI is centered in Campus Planning and Facilities goals and priorities including division meetings, recruitment and retention strategies, etc. DEI champions are consistently presenting at all department meetings, participating in interviews and helping develop engagement strategies to help staff feel connected.
- Increased underrepresented and marginalized identities at the supervisor and manager levels.
- Underrepresented team members are actively leading initiatives and in leadership roles within Campus Planning and Facilities when compared to an established baseline prior to beginning DEI work.
- Reach out to T&I for guidance to seek under-represented groups to apply for open positions…
- Partner with current campus under-represented employees to actively review applicants as part of the interview/review process…
- Define where our current operations need to be updated and improved
o Identify key under-represented employees for promotion and/or to take on leadership roles for more efficient processes and practices…
o Replace long-time out-going/retiring employees that do their jobs through experience with systems so that it creates more opportunities for a wider range of candidates for promotion/leadership
- Seek a group of current diversified department employees to use as a steering committee on various implementations and operations to ensure equity and inclusiveness
