Alums who graduate after 2016 will keep their email account. Alums who graduated before 2016 can have an @alum.wpi.edu account. All email accounts will require multifactor authentication (MFA). See Related Items > Articles for more about MFA.
Keeping the Account Active
To avoid security issues, email accounts will be disabled or deleted if they are not used. Activity is defined as logging into the mailbox. Forwarding email to another account does not count as activity. Accounts will be disabled if they are inactive for 1 year, and deleted if they are inactive for 2 years.
Alums only see other alums in their address book (@alum.wpi.edu or @wpi.edu).
If alums become employees of WPI, they will keep their current email. If the employee leaves WPI, a new account will be created for the alum to use.
Login to @alum.wpi.edu through Outlook Online using your WPI alumni email address and WPI alumni email password.
For first time access to an @alum.wpi.edu account or to update alum email account passwords, use Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR). See Related Items > Articles for more about SSPR.
Your verification method was configured by Information Technology using your alternate email at the time of creation.
