Myrna Soto has dark, curly hair and is wearing black frame glasses and a gray pinstripe suit.

Myrna Soto is a first generation college graduate from a Cuban and Puerto Rican family. She is currently the founder and CEO of Apogee Executive Advisors. She is also a board member of multiple organizations.

She got her start in cybersecurity in the very early 2000's when she was a call center manager at Carnival Cruise Lines. She was concerned about the underdeveloped security for the company and its customers. She leveraged that area of focus into new role. At the time it was described as "a security division of the IT department."

Ms. Soto has held several leadership positions since her time at Carnival. She has also won many awards during her career. In 2017 she was given a Wonder Woman Award by Multichannel News. The award is given to women who break glass ceilings in their fields. Ms. Soto was the first Latina and the first technology professional to be given a Wonder Woman Award.

Her advice to the next generation is "Growth doesn't necessarily mean a promotion or a big title or a new role, but there may be the opportunity to stretch our skills, to constantly be learning, and to be able to expand our reach and influence, even in our current roles."
