The ability for guests to use self-service to connect to WPI's network has been temporarily suspended while campus operations are limited.


Sponsors can request a Guest Pass for visitors.

If a visitor requires access to WPI Open, under Actions, see the instructions to request access.


As of Monday, March 30, 2020, the Self-Service Wireless Guest service has been suspended for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency.  Sponsored Guest Passes will continue to work and new passes may still be created; only the ability to create new guest passes without an authorized WPI sponsor has been disabled.  Once the emergency has concluded and the campus re-opens, the Self-Service Wireless Guest service will resume.

This does not affect:

  • eduroam, which gives guests from affiliated eduroam institution to access wireless
  • Sponsored guest passes issued by WPI staff
  • IoT devices connected to the WPI Open network
