IE Strategy vs. Action
Within Cherwell, the Actions that will be created or modified are called "Strategy." While the name is Strategy in Cherwell, we will discuss them as Actions throughout this article, as they Actions externally (in Hub and in overall discussion).

What is the Action?

Description

Give a full explanation of the Action .

Status

Status options include:

  • Pre-Launch: Not ready to get started on the Action
  • Launched: Beginning steps of working on the Action
  • In-Progress: Actively working on completing the Action
  • Complete: Action has been achieved!

Start / End Dates

Projected starting and ending dates. These don't have to be specific dates, but can be in the format of:

  • Season YYYY
  • X Term YYYY
  • Month YYYY

Goal 1 - 4

There are check boxes for Goals 1, 2, 3, and 4. These are the DEI Strategic Framework Goals. If the Action applies to the Goal, check the box for the Goal.

  • Create New Action

    To create a new goal:

    • Go to New tab and press the small down arrow to expand the selection
    • Select New SIE Goal
    • Input the following information:
      • Title
      • Description
      • Status
      • Start Date (projected)
      • End Date (projected)
      • Goals: Check the Overarching Goals the new SIE Goal applies to
    • Press the Save icon

  • Edit Existing SIE Action

    One of the primary reasons for editing an existing Action is to update the status of the Action as progress is started or made on the Action!

    To edit an existing IE Action:

    1. Double-click into your department's Actions
    2. Double-click the Action that requires updates
    3. Make necessary changes
    4. Press the Save icon
