Reconfigure Folder Mapping

We recommend configuring Thunderbird to use these same primary folders as Microsoft Exchange.

  1. Right-click on your Office 365 account and select Subscribe... from the drop down menu
  2. Place a check mark within the box next to each of these folders:
    • Drafts
    • Deleted Items
    • Sent Items
  3. Click the Subscribe button
  4. Click Ok
  5. Right-click on your Office 365 account and select Settings... from the drop down menu
  6. Select Server Settings
  7. Under the "When I delete a message" section, select Move it to this folder and set the folder to Deleted Items
  8. In your Office 365 account, select Copies & Folders
  9. In the section "When sending messages, automatically place a copy in..." select Other and set it to the Sent Items option.
  10. Make sure the Drafts folder is selected under Drafts and Templates
  11. Click Ok
  12. Restart your Thunderbird client
