WPI supports systems to schedule space or book appointments across campus:
Microsoft O365 Bookings calendars are based on a single business with one or more services reserved by customers.
- Business: What area/department does this calendar belong to?
- Services: What are the appointment types that can be created? Or the specific spaces/equipment that can be reserved?
- Customers: WPI Faculty/Staff/Students requesting time, space, or equipment
When a reservation is made, the customer receives an email confirmation, and if you choose, a reminder.
Faculty and Staff members have the ability to create and manage Bookings Business pages. So Faculty and Staff can be both administrators and customers.
Students can ONLY be customers. They are unable to create Bookings calendars.
