Why?
The new macOS (Big Sur) has been released, but is still undergoing testing. There are currently software incompatibilities.
Impact
WPI Information Technology (IT) recommends not installing the beta for Big Sur. Also please refrain from upgrading to the full operating system Big Sur when it is released, until IT has fully tested. IT-managed Macs will be prevented from upgrading pending further investigation and development.
Details
Known software issues due to Bug Sur beta include, but are not limited to:
- WPI VPN (neither Global Protect nor Pulse Secure function properly)
- Adobe
- Traps Endpoint Protection
