Why?
IT is migrating research file systems to a new Network Attached Storage (NAS) array.
Impact
Files on research.wpi.edu will be read-only and intermittently unavailable during the maintenance.
Benefits
The addition of a new NAS storage array helps to mitigate the storage capacity issues we have been experiencing.
Action Needed
Access needed files prior to the maintenance. Upon maintenance completion, files will be fully accessible. Reboots will be required for Windows computers, to ensure that all connections use the new storage system. Please confirm that you can access files successfully after the move.
