Why?
Until the launch of Workday Student, the only records for students in Workday were student worker (employee) profiles. Student profiles now exist for all students, and when needed, an employee profile is added. Due to this change, you should now use Hire Student when hiring undergrad and grad students, to ensure the two types of records are connected.
Action Needed
There is a change in the process for hiring students. As of 2/25/2021, search for Hire Student.
