Card Access Provisioners have been working on a process to more efficiently and effectively manage card access requests, and align the process more closely with WPI's Card Access Policy.
To ensure the most efficient and secure support, the Card Access Request process is undergoing a two-phase update! In Phase 1 email to the Card Access Request team will generate a ticket in the WPI ticketing system (Cherwell). Phase 2 will enable requests to be submitted via a WPI Hub form.
Increased security and more efficient process with improved tracking and communication.
- Beginning Wednesday, December 15, requests made Department Heads or Designated Appointees to the Card Access team at firstname.lastname@example.org will generate a ticket in the WPI ticketing system, Cherwell. (This is the same process used when emailing email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.)
- Requestors will receive an automated email upon receipt by the ticketing system, including the ticket number.
- All communications between requestors and card access provisioners will come through the email@example.com email address.
In the New Year, further updates and changes will be made to enhance both security and auditing, including submission via a secure WPI Hub form. Please stay tuned!
