Why?
Workday is auto-deploying updates and the Workday 2022 R1 major release for HCM (HR, Payroll), Finance, and Student.
Impact
Workday will be unavailable for login during the maintenance. Sandbox, Sandbox Preview, and Implementation tenants will be unavailable for a maximum of 12 hours: Fri. March 11 from 9 PM to 3 AM Saturday March 12. Production tenants will be unavailable for a maximum of 4 hours: Sat. March 12 from 2-6 AM.

New and enhanced features are being delivered with Workday 2022 R1! Here are some that impact many Workday users in our community
- Worker Name Pronunciation: Workers will be able to to add their name pronunciation to their employee profile. Type Change My Name Pronunciation into the Workday search bar, select the task, enter the phonetic pronunciation for your name, then click Submit. Adding 5 spaces between your first and last name helps the phonetic spellings better line up under your name. Workday plans to make this available for students in September.
- My Requisitions: The redesigned My Requisitions page offers more information in one place. Under the requisition number you can click the V to see what was ordered. If a purchase is still In Progress, the page will list who Workday is awaiting action on before the purchase can move forward. On the right side of the report is a progress bar so you can quickly skim your requisitions. Workday has moved this feature release to July 1.
- Tables View: This will be turned on by default in the new release. You may toggle it off if you choose.
