Information Technology (IT) Improves the security and support model for storage by moving files from  \\storage.wpi.edu\HOME to the Isilon server.

No action is needed prior to the move. 

Details

WPI Information Technology (IT) is moving individual shares from \\storage.wpi.edu\HOME\ to the Isilon server. 

Before the move:

No action is needed!

During the migration process:

Your /home directory will be read-only for less than 1 hour. You will receive an email notifying you when the migration is complete.

After the move:

No action is needed by you to access your files on the new server. Affected systems will automatically reboot to use the new storage location. (There will no longer be a My_Documents folder in the /home directory. OneDrive is now the storage location for individual storage of documents. Details about the My_Documents move are in the related My_Documents news.)
