Reports that the WPI Hub was slow following a campus-wide email lead to investigation of a performance issue which has been resolved.
A large number of students were attempting to access the WPI hub for commencement purposes. Following reports of slowness and unreliability, root cause analysis was performed and the database issue has been resolved. This fix should restore hub to its normal expedient self.

A stuck database process was discovered and fixed, and the underlying query and code that caused it has been adjusted to prevent this from happening again in the future
