My Assets

WPI Faculty and Staff members who have been provided a WPI device (laptop, desktop, or mobile device) will be able to access their details in My Assets on your My ITS tab!

Fonts

The ITS WApp was built from the ground up with accessibility in mind. The entire site is WCAG compatible, and we want to provide further customizations to meet your needs and preferences, including:

  • Ability to change font sizes
  • Font options to increase readability

Avatars

While INTRO is a cute robot, we want your ITS experience to represent you a little better. Cue the avatar...

Change Your Color

Do you have a favorite color that you want to apply everywhere on everything? Soon, you'll be able to update your My ITS color, and the color surrounding your INTRO's face!

Chat Bot

Throughout the ITS site you'll notice that I am more than happy to help. Soon, I will be available to start a chat with you to guide you in the right direction for self-service, or create a ticket for you. As always, your sign-in to the WApp will allow me to provide the most personalized experience.

Notifications

Ticket updates will generate notifications on the ITS WApp. Don't worry, there won't be a pop-up! Just a bell icon by the search button (magnifying glass icon) in the upper right corner. If you have any notifications, a circled number will appear on your bell.

Terminal Servers

While our Software Catalog is extensive and lets you know where to access specific software, we also want to provide more information about how you can access software from the comfort of your couch! We will be adding Servers to our Locations page, and linking available software to them. 

Forms

We will also be working to create Service Request Forms. To help streamline your requests, forms will prompt you to supply all of the details we will need to process your request! For example, our computer request form:

We anticipate that additional forms including: Academic Software Request, Sponsored Guest Wireless, Canvas Site Requests, and more, will help make the request process more efficient for you!

Feedback 

We hope you have enjoyed the 12 Days of ITS and have a better understanding of how our ITS Web App (WApp) can benefit you. We are continuing to build and expand the functionality and features of the WApp, and this is where we need your help!

While we have some great things in development, we would LOVE to know what else you'd like to see in the WApp, and/or any feedback you may have.

Our ultimate priority is to assist you, the members of our WPI Community. We aim to improve your day-to-day operations by enabling you with self-service options, more transparent communication with us, and expanded information from us.
