Jennison Asuncion is the cofounder of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) as well as the Head of Accessibility Engineering at LinkedIn.
GAAD began in 2012 to highlight digital access and inclusion because about 1 billion people globally have a disability/impairment and digital spaces should be designed to ensure they're included.
Jennison became interested in digital accessibility when he attended a summer program that taught blind and visually impaired students how to use assistive technologies, such as braille displays and screen magnification software.
