Improvements to firewall and HPC, progress on moving Spring 2021 data to Workday.

Be aware of downtimes for Workday, campus internet and remote access, and HPC.

    Workday unavailable while loading Spring 2021 catch-up transactions from Banner.​
  • Saturday 8/7, 9pm-1am on Sunday 8/8
    Firewall upgrade part 1, campus internet/access and remote access to internal systems unavailable.​

    Card Access upgrade, no interruption to community. ​
  • Saturday 8/14, 9pm-1am on Sunday 8/15
    Firewall upgrade part 2, campus internet/access and remote access to internal systems unavailable.
  • Monday 8/16
    Integration updates will happen for Workday Student records as Banner moves to read-only.
  • Tuesday 8/17
    Public lab and classroom computers unavailable during operating system upgrades.
  • Tuesday 8/17 – Wednesday 8/25
    Public lab and classroom computers software deployment; computers available but may not have complete software packages.
  • Thursday 8/19 11pm - 2am on Friday 8/20
    This a scheduled maintenance period and there will be intermittent outages of network connectivity to the internet from the campus and/or from the internet to the campus.
  • Saturday 8/21
    The GlobalProtect server has a scheduled upgrade and VPN will be unavailable for a few minutes around 11:00pm ET.
  • Saturday 8/21 midnight-Sunday 8/22 1am
    Internet connectivity will be intermittent. 
  • Tuesday 8/24 will have some routine maintenance outside of business hours and be rebooted.

    As of August 24, WPI users will need to use VPN to access directly to the internal network from the internet. Please see the GlobalProtect article for information on how to set up VPN.
