Accounts

Your WPI username and password allow access to work remotely. 

MFA is required to access some WPI resources. Ensure your verification methods are configured!

VPN

The VPN redirects network traffic through WPI's encrypted network. 

Remote Connections

A remote desktop connection to your powered-on computer at WPI allows access to applications used by that WPI computer. VPN is required.

Internet at Home

Staff with limited or no access to internet at home can check out options provided by some vendors across the country.

Collaborate

Connect Voicemail to Email

Information Technology can be contacted to setup forwarding copies of voicemail messages from a WPI phone extension to email. If you would like to set your voicemail to forward to your email, please provide ITS with:

Microsoft Teams

Teams provides instant messaging, conferencing, discussion, file storage and collaboration.

Conferencing

Teleconferencing, videoconferencing, and webconferencing are available to conduct online class events and meetings.

Email and Office 365

Email and Office 365 applications are available online for simultaneous collaboration or to work on shared files.

Resources

Personal Cloud Storage - OneDrive

OneDrive files are available via a web browser and can be shared. For simplified remote access, IT recommends moving files from local folders and personal network file shares to OneDrive. 

Networked Shared File Storage

Network Drives can be accessed by connecting to the VPN.

Applications

WPI's own App Marketplace links to many WPI resources, including the Office 365 Online Application suite, Workday, Canvas, and more!

Software Installation

To remotely install software on an IT provisioned device, VPN enables installation via Windows Software Center.
