Welcome to WPI! The Information Technology Services Department (IT) developed this guide to help new community members access and use technology and systems provided by IT at WPI. Please complete the required steps indicated by radio buttons. Optional resource information is also included.

WPI HubHaloITSM, a new enterprise service platform and ticketing system. It will be used to process requests, inquiries, and issues for offices of Information Technology Services (ITS) , Registrar, Bursar, CMS Helpdesk in Marketing & Communications, Talent & Inclusion, and Academic Affairs. When signed in, you can view information, knowledge and service/request tickets.
WPI User PortalYour WPI Credentials
WPI grants your account, assigns a username, and requires you to create a secure password. Using these credentials, you are privileged to securely access licensed applications and university data. In addition, you have access to your WPI email account, personal and business file storage space, login to campus computers, and printing. (If you have received email with instructions, you may have already completed these items.)
- Ensure several options for Multifactor Authentication (MFA) are established, as this is required by nearly all WPI systems.
Those same verification methods enable Self Service Password Reset (SSPR). so that you can change your WPI password on your own.

WPI Applications
Microsoft 365 enables use of varied productivity apps from the web or client on your device.
Access Microsoft 365Licensed software can be self-installed on WPI-managed computers.

Email and Calendars
As a member of WPI you are licensed to use a WPI email account. Your email address is based upon your WPI username (i.e. Jon E. Smith has username jesmith, therefore the email address is jesmith@wpi.edu).
- Email, calendars, global address list, etc. can be accessed via any browser using Outlook Web App (Outlook client is also available on WPI computers). Login with your WPI email address (username@wpi.edu) and password.
Email Groups and Mailing Lists
Groups exist for campus communications. These can be created by any community member, and managed using Outlook. Community members will automatically receive mail from the appropriate Distribution Groups, which are data-based.

IT provides various means of secure file storage to save, access and share WPI data. An overview is available in IT File Storage Recommendations, including a link to the WPI Data Classification and Usage Policy which governs file storage.

- On-premise file storage may be in use for research or by some departments. Map Network Drive using instructions linked below if access to on-premise storage is required.
